JEWS IN VIENNA AFTER 1945

The companion book to a photography exhibition about Margit Dobronyi, who, upon fleeing Hungary for Vienna in 1956, quickly established herself as a “wedding photographer” within the city’s Jewish community. Her pictures of joyous celebration speak of the desire to make up for lost time.

With an essay by Ruth Beckermann and a conversation with photographer Margit Dobronyi.
